The blood drive sponsored by National Honor Society at St. Elmo Jr./Sr High School today was a huge success. We maxed out our units collected (38) and set a record for the most units collected at any of our previous events. Thank you to our students and community for coming out to support the Red Cross and NHS.
Mrs. Rich’s Science class enjoyed their experiment today. Their goal was to get a skewer through a balloon without popping it. They hypothesized that it wasn’t possible.

SEB Junior High Cheerleaders will be hosting a fundraising event at Culver’s Restaurant in Effingham, IL on October 17th from 5-7 PM.  Please come and show your support!
Agriculture Science classes dissected flowers today in order to identify various reproductive organs. After dissection, students used microscopes to take a closer look at flowers.

8th Grade Inductees to NJHS! 

The SEB Jr. High Cheerleaders donated money from the pink t-shirt fundraiser to help Jessica Sloan, a local cheer mom,  who is undergoing cancer treatment.  They matched a donation received from the Yipes Organization.

Four freshmen FFA members attended the Fayette County Soils Judging in St Peter yesterday.

Freshmen FFA members traveled to Champaign today to participate in the UIUC Greenhand Conference to sharpen their leadership skills.
